Taking the Road Less Traveled

Have you ever had one of those summers where it seems like half the people you know are in Italy? Do you want to travel to beautiful churches or eat new foods without all the crowds? I can guarantee there are so many amazing destinations you’ve never thought to check out! In 2024, a friend and I took an adventure to Albania, a beautiful country in the Balkans tucked in between Croatia and Greece. Albania offers just about everything! A unique history, being placed in between Europe and Asia, gorgeous scenery, and beaches that can’t be rivaled. 

Maybe you’re looking for a relaxing spa weeked. While many might think of Arizona, Iceland, or Korea, did you know that Estonia is known for their spas? Few travelers make their way to the Baltics, making this a great destination to avoid crowds! You can have the relaxation of the spa, while experiencing the unique culture of the Baltics. You could, also, very easily add other Baltic countries onto your trip, expanding on your experience!

Another helpful tip to avoid crowds is to go in the destination’s off season! For example, going to Rome in the fall and winter, you’ll miss out on the summer madness. Now, traveling in the off season can come with its disadvantages of not great weather, or some attractions will be closed. It’s important to do your research when traveling outside of peak season!
